Miles, a headstrong but naive film buff, finally ends his job search with a gig for a local film studio. He's overjoyed… until he realizes the Z-grade company churns out nothing but laughably schlocky cinematic messes. After stealing a copy of the latest production's script and secretly making a few critical revisions, Miles recruits key members of the disillusioned crew to his cause in filming a better version of the troubled film behind their director's back. Split down the middle between a fast-paced comedy and a fun heist flick, Coup de Cinema is a heartfelt and hilarious look at the trials of guerrilla filmmaking — and how much you're willing to risk for a renewed sense of purpose.
